The Challenge

A Community Told
Its Voice Didn't Count.

In 2016, Latino voters were among the most talked about and least mobilized groups in the country. Plenty of campaigns wanted the vote. Few gave people a reason to believe their vote mattered.

The challenge was not awareness. It was belief. A community that had heard every generic "get out the vote" message needed something that spoke to them directly, in their language, through people they already trusted. Without that, turnout would stay flat no matter how much money was spent.

We built the campaign on a single StoryBrand truth: the people were the heroes, and the campaign was only the guide.

Instead of telling people to vote, we gave them a story about who they were and what their voice could do. The message was clear enough to repeat, emotional enough to share, and built to spread person to person across an entire community.

Then we put that story in the mouths of the people the community already followed. Influencer marketing, used here years before it became standard practice, turned trusted voices into the engine of the movement.

The Work

What We Built

01

A StoryBrand Message

A core narrative built on the StoryBrand framework, positioning the community as the hero and the campaign as the guide that helps them act.

02

An Influencer Engine

Trusted community voices carried the message further than any ad could, pioneering influencer marketing as the heart of a mobilization campaign.

03

A Unified Coalition

A coordinated coalition speaking with one voice across every channel, turning scattered effort into a single, repeatable movement.

"We didn't ask people to vote. We reminded them who they were, and let their own community carry the message home."
